Exclusive airbag system
The Tricity 300 is the first Yamaha to be equipped with an airbag system. In the event of a hard frontal collision where the rider is ejected forwards, the cockpit mounted airbag deploys in order to absorb kinetic energy and help reduce injury to the rider.
Dynamic new body styling
The next generation Tricity 300 looks better than ever with its dynamic new body styling. Featuring reshaped upper and front panels, the sharper fairing projects a sportier and more condensed look that’s reinforced by the new triple LED position lights. The sleek new face gives this sophisticated urban mobility vehicle a smart and contemporary style that makes it the right way to move.
Stylish new LED lighting
This sophisticated 3-wheel scooter is one of the most advanced commuters in the city. The newly designed face is equipped with triple LED position lights that are designed to get you noticed by other road users. The triple theme is also evident in the new full width LED taillight with its split line styling dividing the light into three blocks.
Sophisticated braking system
The Tricity 300’s refined ABS is complemented by a new BC (Brake Control) system that analyses data from an IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) to inhibit wheel lock and help to moderate chassis behaviour. The 267mm front and rear disc brakes are also equipped with UBS (Unified Brake System) that automatically balances front and rear braking, giving enhanced feeling of riding confidence.
Leaning Multi-Wheel (LMW) technology
Yamaha’s unique Leaning Multi-Wheel (LMW) technology is designed to give you a smooth and confident ride on your daily commute into the city. Even on slippery surface, as long as one of the LMW’s two front wheels maintains good grip, the risk of a fall due to front-wheel slippage is reduced.
Smartphone connectivity
The new Tricity 300 comes with the latest 4.2-inch colour TFT connected main dash as well as a 2.8-inch LCD dash that displays vehicle information. Once you have downloaded the free MyRide app to your Smartphone you can listen to music*, answer incoming calls*, view email and SMS notifications and more, enabling you to keep in touch with family, friends and work. (*Audio services require a separate headset with Bluetooth communication.)
Garmin navigation
Tricity 300 riders can access Garmin Navigation completely free of charge through the Garmin StreetCross App* after downloading it to an Apple or Android phone. Garmin StreetCross offers you the functionality and user friendly interface that you find in Garmin devices, making it easy to access traffic, weather and POI information. You’ll be fully informed on every journey – whether commuting, leisure riding or touring. (*Full map Garmin Navigation is available free of charge for the Tricity 300 but is not offered in all countries. Some navigation features are not available in all countries.)
Standing Assist System
When you come to a stop at a red traffic light you can press the Standing Assist System switch that helps to keep the Tricity 300 upright when stationary. It’s also designed to make it easy when push-walking the machine when you’re moving in and out of parking spaces.
EURO5+ Blue Core 292cc engine
With its fully automatic ‘twist and go’ transmission and smooth, seamless acceleration, the Tricity 300 is an ideal urban commuter for new riders with a full B car license*. Its 292cc EURO5+ Blue Core engine is powerful, quiet and efficient, making it one of the most effective ways to move in the city. For added riding confidence on loose or wet surfaces, the Tricity 300 is equipped with a Traction Control System (TCS). (*Limitations and restrictions may apply per country under applicable laws. Additionally, Yamaha recommends all riders to take a motorcycle training course before riding any two or three wheeled vehicles.)
Parking Brake & Foot brake
In addition to the handlebar-mounted brake levers there’s also a foot brake pedal that operates both the front and rear brakes via the UBS (Unified Braking System). And on the left side of the cockpit you can find a convenient parking brake with a ratchet type lever that enables you to prevent the Tricity 300 moving when parked.
Large 14-inch wheels with ABS
The 14-inch wheels on the Tricity 300 are amongst the largest in the 3-wheel class, and together with Yamaha’s LMW technology they promote feelings of riding confidence. Featuring 267mm diameter discs, the high-tech Unified Braking System with ABS ensures a smooth riding experience with a feeling of stability.
Large Autonomy
Yamaha’s Blue Core engine technology enables the 292cc EURO5+ engine to achieve the highest levels of efficiency. With its 13-litre fuel tank the Tricity 300 has excellent autonomy, allowing you to cover long distances between fuel stops.
Plenty of storage space
You’ll find plenty of storage space on the Tricity 300. Under the lockable seat there’s a large compartment that can accommodate 2 full-face helmets* when you park up – and when you’re on the move it’s the ideal place for carrying personal items. There’s also a USB socket on the right front side, and the standard version features a central storage compartment. (*Depending on the helmet size and shape.)
Smart Key operation
When you’re riding the Tricity 300 on your daily trip to the office you can expect class leading comfort, confidence and convenience. The keyless system enables you to operate the vehicle as long as you have the Smart Key with you, making every journey a little bit easier.
